West End House Girls Camp 2023 Staff

 Who Are WEHGC Staff?

The strength and excellence of the West End House Girls Camp lie in the staff - dedicated individuals who devote over nine weeks each summer to ensure the safety and happiness of the campers under their care. We view our counselors as Youth Development Professionals but your camper will refer to them as their new role model, hero, confidant, and friend.

We search the globe - seriously, don’t be surprised when your kid comes home practicing an Australian or English accent - and choose the very best staff to work at camp. We have a rigorous screening and hiring process. Potential staff members are interviewed one-on-one by camp leadership, provide at least three outstanding references who are contacted directly by our team, and submit to comprehensive background tests. We will never cut corners and only hire THE BEST to work with your child.

Hi, I am Kelly Cryts. I have been going and working at the camp since I was a camper. This will be my 15th year and I am so excited for a new position at camp. Can't wait to be the office manager and what that entails and connecting with campers as well as counselors! Looking forward to also teaching archery and shooting arrows this summer!

Hi, I'm Ashley, a freshman at UConn majoring in Management Information Systems (MIS). Originally from Newton, Massachusetts, some of my hobbies include playing the drums, being active and playing sports, hanging out with friends, and traveling. I have been coming to West End House Girls Camp since I was seven, and I'm excited to explore a new side of the camp this summer. I'm particularly looking forward to participating in activities like Color Wars and nightly campfires, as they are both fun and memorable experiences.

Hi, my name is Nalinthip, but you can call me Fah. I’m a first-year university student from the UK. This summer is my first time being a camp counsellor, so I look forward to meeting all of you and having a safe and enjoyable time together! I have a lot to learn so, please don’t hesitate to give me tips and advice. And see you all this summer!

Hi! My name is Summer. I love arts & crafts, spending time with friends and family and reading. Camp is truly a special place for me where I found my love of archery. Camp is a place where I feel I can be myself all the time and I hope our campers feel the same way!
